How picking works

Show up, grab a basket, take your time.

There's no ticket booth and no line. Park in the grass, find the rows that are open, and pick what you actually want to eat this week.

01

Come on an open day

Wednesdays and Saturdays, 10 to 4, June through September. No appointment, no reservation, no entry fee.

02

Pick what's ready

Containers are here if you need them, though a flat box or a basket from home works better. Ask which rows are open โ€” it changes week to week.

03

Weigh up and pay

Everything is priced by the pound or the bunch at the stand. Cards and cash both work.

Why no spray

Nothing goes on this ground that you wouldn't want on your hands.

No pesticides, no herbicides โ€” not on the berries, not on the vegetables. That's been true since the first row went in, and it's the reason people let their kids eat straight off the plant here. Tasting is encouraged, so you know you'll enjoy it.

Everything here gets picked by the person who's going to eat it. That's the whole idea. Bellingham Country Gardens
